Tour Itinerary
Operated all year round, our Magic Carpet Tour uncovers some of Turkey's hidden treasures in North West Anatolia.
Day 1: Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul where you will be
transferred to your hotel, located in the
heart of the old city, Sultanahmet. The
remainder of the day is yours free to
explore.
Day 2: Istanbul City Tour
Tour the city that spans both Europe and
Asia, visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya
Sofya, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome.
Day 3: Istanbul to Capaddokia via Ankara
Drive to the nation's capital in Ankara for tour of Ataturk's Mausoleum and Ancient Civilisations museum. Drive to Capaddokia and che-in hotel.
Day 4: Capaddokia
Marvel at the lunar landscape of Cappadocia, with a fully guided tour of Goreme Valley, the fairy chimneys and Derinkuyu Underground City. Tonight there is an option of attending a traditional Turkish folklore evening.
Day 5: Capadokia to Pamukkale via Konya (B+D)
Long journey today as we cross the Anatolian plain, tour to Mevlana Museum and stop for lunch near Konya. Drive to Pamukkale, followed by the ancient city of Hierapolis and a dip in the hot springs, which were used in Roman times for their therapuetic powers. Chek-in the Hotel
Day 6: Kusadasi - Efes (B)
Absorb yourself in history today with a
guided tour of Ephesus. Walk down Marble Road towards the Celsus Library and Grand Theatre and immerse yourself into the mystical atmosphere of the city halls and stadium where chariot and horse races were once held. We also visit the site of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Day 7: Pergamum - Troy - Canakkale (B+D)
Step back in time today as we visit Pergamum, a magnificent acropolis with one of the steepest amphitheatres in the world. Its impressive temples, library and medical facilities made it a renowned cultural and political centre in its time. Drive to Troy and visiting its Trojan Horse
Day 8: Canakkale to Istanbul via Galipoli
One of the most emotionally and touching places in Turkey, today we drive to the World War I Battlefields of Gallipoli, visiting Lone Pine & Chunuk Bair Memorials, Anzac Cove, Johnston's Jolly, the Nek and Gallipoli Museum. Drive to Istanbul, chek-in hotel, free time, visiting of Grand Bazar
Day 9: Istanbul
Tour concludes after breakfast.
