HALF DAY IZMIR CITY TOUR

Greeted by our guide, our tours starts with the visit of the Alexander the great castle from 4th century BC on the PAGOS-Hill overlooking the whole city and ancient AGORA (the best preserved Roman Market). Our next stop is the Archaeological Museum with art crafts from old Symrna and Ephesus. Proceed to a Clock Tower 98 years old, that is the Symbol of Izmir. Drive to Karsiyaka which is the residential area of the city. Cross back the bay by the boat and visit KEMERALTI, the old Bazaar with 2000 shops. Our service ends in your hotel.

EPHESUS
Dep: 10:00 a.m. Ret 06:00 pm / total-km : 180 km. The best preserved and restored ancient city in TURKEY: You will visit to EPHESUS which is known to be the Commercial, the Religious and the Social Center of Antiquity, and one of the Highlights of any visit in Turkey. Ephesus is probably the best combination of Greek, Roman and Byzantine civilizations. With the mythological stories and spectacular ruins you will feel the life in ancient Ephesus. You will visit the Fountains of Trajan, Polio, the Temple of Hadrian and Domition, Private House, the Library of Celcius, Varius and Scolasticia Baths, Bouloterion and the Great Theatre with a capacity of 24.000 spectators. After enjoying the Turkish cuisine at lunch, you will visit the House of Virgin Mary, where she spent last days of her life: our next stop is the Archaeological Museum of Ephesus. PERGAMOM
Dep; 10:00 a.m. Ret 05:00 p.m. / total-km:220km Pergamom is one of the finest archaeological sites in Turkey. The city was a great center of culture and capital of East-Roman-Empire. On the ACROPOLIS there are numerous remains including the Celebrated Library, the steepest Theatre of Anatolia, the Temples of Trajan and Dionysos, the place of the monumental Altar of Zeus famous with the relief of God and devils, the Sanctuary of Demeter, the Gymnasium situated on terraces, the lower Agora. After a delicious lunch with Turkish specialty you will visit the Archaeological Museum of Bergama, proceed to the Medical Center of the ancient world, ASCLEPION where the first psychological Treatment had been used and which was dedicated to the God of Health, Asclepions, Return to Izmir. PAMUKKALE
Dep: 08:00 a.m. Ret 08:00 p.m. / total-km : 470 km A COMBINATION OF HISTORY AND NATURE : Departing from IZMIR or KUSADASI, drive to PAMUKKALE (cotton castle) beautifully and spectacular natural site, unique in the world with the fairylike, dazzling white, petrified cascade. There you will see the thermal spring water laden with Clacareous salt, plunging down the mountain-side has created this natural formation of stalactites, cataracts and basins. The thermal water has been used since the Roman period for the therapeutic powers. You will visit the Roman city of HIERAPOLIS with Apollo-Temple competing with Delphi, Monumental Nympheum a 4th century Basilica and the Theatre. After visiting the best preserved NECROPOLIS, return to Kusadasi or Izmir. (L).

APHRODISIAS
Dep: 08:00 a.m. Ret 07:00p.m. / total-km: 440 km After arrival in APHRODIAS, ancient city of SCULPTORS, you will see one of the best looking ruins of the world with the Theater, Odeon, Bishop's Palace, Stadium, Temple of Aphrodite and the Museum with the gorgeous Relief and Statues of the Sculptors. Drive back to KUSADASI or IZMIR. (L).

PRIENE- MILEYOS- DIDYMA
Dep: 08:30 a.m. Ret 06:30 p.m. / total-km: 380 km. Prine was one of the most active ports of the Lonian Federation. The city is the oldest example of geometric city planning. Miletos which has provided its alphabet to the rest of the classical world, was a great port and the hometown of several philosophers and sages. Didyma's Temple of Apollo with is very well-known oracles was one of the most sacred places of antiquity. Although looted and burnt many times, it keeps all the original impression. Not far from the site you face the beautiful beach of Altinkum. Drop to Kusadasi or Izmir. (L).

SARDIS
Dep: 10:00 a.m. Dept 04:00 p.m. / total-km: 180 km. Leave IZMIR for SARDES, capital of the ancient LYDIA, where one of the churches of St John existed. Tours the ruins of the temple of CYBELE and DIANA where a fourth century Bazilika was added later. See the golden river PACTALOS and the ROYAL ROAD. Visit the reconstructed synagogue, the gymnasium. After lunch return. (L).

TROY
Dep: 07:30 a.m. Ret 08:30 p.m. / total-km: 620 km. CITY OF WOODEN HORSE : Early drive to Troy, the Legendary town in the ILIAD of HOMEROS with the stories of King Priam, Hector, Paris, and the beautiful Helen: visit the ruins of the city with the Seven layers of settlements: Athena Temple destroyed by the attacks of Achilles which is the main reason of ODESSEIA to be written by HOMEROS. Lunch in the area and return to IZMIR. (L).
TWO DAYS EPHESUS & PAMUKKALE
Day 1 IZMIR - PAMUKKALE Our guide picks you up from your hotel and you will enjoy a comfortable drive to EPHESUS, we start our tour from fascinating remains of Ephesus from 3rd century BC, after lunch the House of the Virgin Mary, Museum of SELCUK full of crafts from EPHESUS: continue with drive to Pamukkale: overnight. Day 2 : PAMUKKALE - IZMIR After breakfast visit Pamukkale with its unique formation of petrified calcium cliffs and ancient city HIERAPOLIS with its Theatre & very well preserved Necropolis. Return to Izmir. (L).

TWO DAYS PERGAMON & TROY
Day 1 : IZMIR - PERGAMON - CANAKKALE Early in the morning you will be welcomed at the airport (or at your hotel) by our representative: and start from Izmir to Pergamon for the visits of Acropolis and Asclepion, the first hospital of ancient Anatolia, after a delicious lunch in Bergama, continue with drive to Canakkale: overnight. Day 2 : TROY - IZMIR Visit Troy with the stories of King Priam, Hector, Paris and the beautiful Helen which is the subject of Illiad of Homer. Return to Izmir. (L).
