Departing from IZMIR or KUSADASI, drive to
PAMUKKALE (cotton castle) beautifully and
spectacular natural site, unique in the
world with the fairylike, dazzling white,
petrified cascade. There you will see the
thermal spring water laden with Clacareous
salt, plunging down the mountain-side has
created this natural formation of
stalactites, cataracts and basins. The
thermal water has been used since the Roman
period for the therapeutic powers. You will
visit the Roman city of HIERAPOLIS with
Apollo-Temple competing with Delphi,
Monumental Nympheum a 4th century Basilica

PRIENE- MILEYOS- DIDYMA

380 km. Prine was one of the most active
ports of the Lonian Federation. The city is
the oldest example of geometric city
planning. Miletos which has provided its
alphabet to the rest of the classical world,
was a great port and the hometown of several
philosophers and sages. Didyma's Temple of
Apollo with is very well-known oracles was
one of the most sacred places of antiquity.
Although looted and burnt many times, it
keeps all the original impression. Not far
from the site you face the beautiful beach

SARDIS

180 km. Leave IZMIR for SARDES, capital of
the ancient LYDIA, where one of the churches
of St John existed. Tours the ruins of the

Visit the reconstructed synagogue, the
